Marlene M. is a Helenmay Crochet Special Donor Member for the year 2020 and she is participating in my random free giveaway for the year 2020. Part of my giveaway for this year is a crochet design request. Marlene requested an Australian Wildlife Tunisian Crochet Graphghan. Since I finished myTunisian Crochet Under The Sea Mystery CAL for the year 2020, I decided to start the Australian Wildlife Tunisian Crochet Mystery Graphghan (Start date 10Jul20). Before you get started, here is some information for you:

For those that want to practice with a Tunisian Crochet dish towel and/or soap saver first, you may like this YouTube video tutorial: Tunisian Crochet Simple Beginner Dish Towel and/or soap saver

People who have been following my crochet work know how much I love Tunisian Crochet for my Graphghans! I want to share that love with others. So far, I have completed 4 Tunisian Crochet graphghans: Minecraft, Guardians of the Galaxy,  Wizard of Oz, and the Under the Sea! I had tons of fun making each one, and each one is treasured by the recipient! I can’t put a price on them because they are priceless.  Each Tunisian Crochet graphghan that I have ever made was for family.  This is the first graphghan that will be made for myself.

I made a YouTube video tutorial to help get you started:

I will post the free PDF graphs as soon as I complete them. I like to make the graphs 40 x 40, but for this graphghan I decided to Tunisian crochet panels 40 x 80, but the graphs will still be 40 x 40.

Danielle Johnson contacted me via Facebook and said: “Thank you for doing this. (Designing the crochet koala’s). We finally got some rain so I hope and pray it rained in the right places. The number of Koalas that died is alarming and their habitat is burnt. It will take a long time to rebuild what was lost.
It’s still so heartbreaking to come back to my homeland after living in New Orleans and seeing this devastation.
Also prayers to the firefighters who lost their lives in the raging fire.
I can’t wait to make these (crochet Koalas) and donate them for raffle draws to raise money for the bushfire appeal.
Now we just need a matching Kangaroo! What do you think Helen?”

When I was crocheting the “My Little Floret” crochet stitch, I knew I wanted to make a YouTube video tutorial for it! I really loved how the finished crochet design looked and it was so quick and easy too! I decided to use the crochet stitch to make a crochet My Little Floret Casserole Holder as well as a baby blanket! Once you learn how to create the My Little Floret crochet stitch, the crochet projects using the stitch could be endless. I hope that you have fun with it. If you enjoy creating the “My Little Floret” crochet stitch pattern, you may also like the popular “My Little Sweet Pea” crochet stitch.

For most of my crochet kitchen YouTube video tutorials, I also include one of my favorite recipes. For the “My Little Floret” crochet Casserole Dish Holder, I included a delicious carrot cake recipe! You can find the recipe towards the end of the video tutorial.

Last year, I allowed Helenmay Crochet Special Donor Members to make crochet requests.  I limited the number of crochet requests allowed because it takes time to design and complete the crochet request.  I allowed a bonus crochet design request by Susie Lafferty who requested a crochet girl and boy ragdoll. The requests were free with the understanding that it would take time to complete them.  Since I couldn’t get to her crochet request last year, I made her a Helenmay Crochet Special Donor Member for the year 2020 as well.

I had a lot of fun designing my crochet girl and boy ragdolls, and I decided to name them Jack and Jill, which is inspired by the nursery rhyme books that I read when I was a child. In the video, I show how I used these curlers to help make the head a little bit sturdier. If you love to make crochet dolls you will like all of the different sized curlers this pack has. Also there are large holes in the curlers that the tapestry/darning needle fit easily through. Click here, or the picture below, to go directly to the affiliate link.

Last year, I allowed Helenmay Crochet Special Donor Members to make crochet requests.  I limited the number of crochet requests allowed because it takes time to design and complete the crochet request. TnDancer requested a crochet French Bulldog on 9Jul2019. The requests were free with the understanding that it would take time to complete them. I started designing TnDancer’s crochet request in APR 2020 with a planned completion date before June2020.  Since I couldn’t get to her crochet request last year, I made her a Helenmay Crochet Special Donor Member for the year 2020 as well.
