One of my Helenmay Crochet Special Donor Members requested a Crochet PDF written pattern for Fusako’s Crochet Lucky Cat.  One of the many benefits of being a Special Donor Member is that you get to request a written pattern from one of my YouTube video tutorials. I was happy to see that she requested Fusako’s Crochet Lucky Cat, which has a very special meaning for me personally. Fusako is my mother. I consider myself the “Lucky Cat,” because she is my mother. I consider Fusako a rebel because she wasn’t a follower who just did what she was told. Everyone, including her family, told her to stay away from the dashing American soldier, but she followed her heart and went on the difficult journey to a distant land away from her friends and family.  That took a LOT of courage, and it was never easy for her!!! I am here because of her, and I feel her strong spirit inside of me every day! I am an American, through and through, and my mother has given me a unique perspective regarding race, ethnicity, culture, and stereotypes. I love you mom! I can feel you smiling from heaven!

If you are going to make my crochet Lucky Cats, I would recommend using Caron Simply Soft yarns. If you use a different style of yarn, you may have to make adjustments for the head. While writing the pattern, I may use a different yarn style, and I will let you know the differences if I do.
